Chief, Analysis Branch 7901

Capstone Corporation's Military Civil Operations Center is currently seeking a Chief, Analysis Branch, to provide leadership and support to the Korea Battle Simulation Center (KBSC), located in Seoul, Korea.

 

This position will be filled upon award of contract.

 

Responsibilities:

• Supervise activities of the Exercise Analysis Branch at KBSC.
• Input critical data for the development of KBSC annual exercise schedules.
• Conduct thorough analysis of exercise objectives and directives to develop exercise collection management plans.
• Work in conjunction with KBSC operations and the exercise chief controller, facilitator, and senior observers, to determine information collection requirements and to identify specific tasks to be observed and evaluated.
• Assist KBSC personnel in determining and overseeing synchronization of scenario execution, information collection, and AAR preparation requirements.
• Provide doctrinal expertise and instruction in support of observer training.
• Provide doctrinal expertise and analytical expertise in support of KBSC operations and the AAR process.
• Review data collected during preceding exercises by identifying trends and inconsistencies, in support of doctrine and combat development feedback for the command.
• Assemble and analyze inputs from observers, instructor/controllers, senior controllers, the facilitator, the exercise director, and others, to provide appropriate exercise evaluation.
• Analyze information inputs to evaluate the performance of commanders and other participants as they complete mission tasks to achieve exercise objectives.
• Prepare written evaluations for use in compiling both interim and final AARs.
• Supervise the preparation of post-exercise reference books containing observations and recommendations developed during the analysis of exercises.
• Facilitate AARs, conduct seminars, coordinate study groups, and analyze exercises for commanders and staffs.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Graduate from Military Staff College.
• Prior service as a commissioned officer in the US Armed Forces, Army preferred.
• Army command experience at the battalion or higher level, or a minimum of three (3) years experience as a military analyst can be considered.
• Three (3) years experience with US Army, ROK and US joint and combined doctrine, organization, and procedure including combat, combat support, and combat service support operations.
• Minimum of (3) years prior experience with ROK and US theater-level organizations, operations, and exercises.
• Prior experience preparing and conducting seminars, study groups, and exercises for senior officers.
• Experience conducting instruction for large and small groups.
• Experience conducting post-exercise effective analysis and evaluation.
• Proven experience conducting AARs, both orally and written.
• Two (2) years experience with computer war gaming capabilities and simulation programs.
• Final and active secret clearance.

Note:  All required years of experience will be considered concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate of senior military service college.
• MS in Military Science.
