Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer 2\3
The Support Equipment Engineer Mechanical Depot Team has an immediate opening for an experienced engineer that will have responsibilities for the Hydraulic Shop or ECS Shop for the F-15SG Depot and F-15SA Offset Depot activities as a prime technical contact. Applicants should possess at least 2 - 8 years experience with a systems engineering background with emphasis in mechanical systems requirements definition and includes: supplier management experience, including requirements definition (procurement specifications, Statements of Work), technical data review, technical manual review, development of test procedures/plans, technical proposal evaluation, and site installation and verification. BS and/or MS in Mechanical Engineering degree required. Applicants must possess ability to work in a multidiscipline team and interface with broad range of internal/external customers/suppliers. Applicants must have experience with aircraft mechanical subsystems including maintenance practices. Familiarity with Support Equipment design requirements & Logistics Support Analysis (MIL-STD-1388) process desired. Familiarity with depot level facilities is desired. Ability to oversee a complex project and to define and flow requirements and then balance that with day to day execution through ingenuity and creativity is required. Applicants should possess good written & oral communication skills, and the ability to use Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, etc.) in order to prepare and deliver presentations to customers & suppliers. This position requires a self-motivated individual with capability to plan & execute tasks within schedule & budget constraints. Regular Domestic and International travel is required.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Job related information
Individual must have engineering experience with a wide variety of mechanical equipment. A general knowledge of aircraft systems and general airframe design is required. This experience would preferably be in the area of support equipment, but experience designing and systems requirements for aircraft or training equipment in related mechanical areas is acceptable. This individual must have experience evaluating supplier bids, coordinating supplier deliveries, trouble-shooting supplier performance issues, and working directly with suppliers to manufacture support equipment or related aircraft and training equipment. This individual must possess good oral and written communication skills. Excellent people skills are required to work effectively in a multi-disciplined team environment interfacing with other engineering, logistics and planning representatives, supplier managers and procurement, suppliers, and the customer. This individual should have experience with production planning and general production shop manufacturing techniques. This individual should have skills in developing man-hour estimates, lead-time estimates, and awareness of budget management. This individual should have good personnel management skills and capable of independent work. In addition, presentation experience and skills will be required to effectively communicate information. This job requires a self-motivated individual with capability to plan and execute tasks and manage their project within time and budget constraints utilizing analytic methods.
