The Actuarial Services Department provides Actuarial consultative services regarding SilverScript (Medicare Part D) products through the SilverScript Actuarial Consulting Department. The Advisor of Actuarial Services has wide lattitude in developing and applying advanced consulting analysis for CVS Caremark and CVS Caremark Employer clients. Actuarial modeling of Medicare Part D Outcomes for Employer clients. Implement advanced analytic research findings via working with Sales, Marketing, Legal, Clinical and Analytics and Outcomes Departments. Implementation of findings may involve prototyping tools internally prior to rolling out on a production basis. Analysis includes but is not limited to Medicare D Financial Outcomes Modeling of Retiree Drug Subsidy, Employer Group Waiver Plans, Open Prescription Drug Plans on a Fully Insured and Self-Funded basis with and without wraps. Identify, implement and train CVS Caremark employees in best practice strategies for Medicare Part D Analytics.

Position can be based in Scottsdale, AZ or Northbrook, Il
College graduates who have a degree in actuarial sciences, finance or business administration with courses in accounting, business law and mathematics. ASA credentials required. Pharmacy or medical knowledge desired but not required.
At least 5+ years of analytical work experience in the healthcare industry.

Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment, as well as independently. Knowledge of methodologies for the economic evaluation of drug utilization management programs desired. Demonstrate ability to develop relationships within/outside of the Actuarial Services Department. Advanced knowledge of relational databases and warehouses. Either Advanced SQL or OLAP or SAS skills. Strong problem solving skills, strong consultative skills. Advanced MS Office skills.
