Simulation Analyst

Northrop Grumman Technical Services has a full time opening in its Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) Simulation Support Team for an experienced military logistician with an understanding of simulation-based mission command training. We are looking for someone seeking challenging opportunities and the ability to make a difference by working side by side with the Department of Defense and other Government organizations. The position requires an experienced military logistician who is interested in applying the knowledge of sustainment operations to a simulated training environment - the Warfighters' Simulation in particular - at Fort Leavenworth, KS and at Army installations across the United States and overseas. The analyst helps define the modeling of current and future sustainment operations through simulation testing and interaction with combat and material developers of the Army's training systems. Our analysts also develop and present briefings and training on the full range of sustainment operations modeled in the simulation to personnel participating in MCTP mission command exercises. Although principal duties are focused on sustainment modeling, the analyst will apply knowledge and skills of other modeled warfighting functions in order to provide on-site support to simulation work cell controllers and others, and to perform on-site testing of anomalies and development of potential work-around's to simulation shortfalls. Analysts document shortcomings in the models and simulations using Problem Trouble Reports (PTRs); advise and counsel MCTP leadership in the prioritization of PTRs for resolution by the material developer; track PTR corrective action on behalf of MCTP; and functionally test software to address each PTR.



Basic Qualifications: Two years recent experience with current Army simulations as a Sustainment Work Cell Controller or Analyst and two years experience on a battalion or higher staff or equivalent training required. Graduate of a military sustainment branch Officer Advanced Course or equivalent education is essential. Graduate of a military intermediate level education course/staff college preferred. Must have or be eligible to obtain a US Secret security clearance.
