Position Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Director and accountable to the Corporate Management Team, the State Director's primary role is to direct the program operations within a state to ensure quality, maximize revenue and profit and implement growth and diversification efforts in accordance with corporate goals, philosophies and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops state plans and goals, in cooperation with the Executive Director, Corporate Management Team and State Management Team, consistent with the Company's financial objectives, strategic initiatives and values.
• Selects, trains, develops, and motivates appropriate staff to achieve or surpass operational and financial goals as well as personal career objectives.
• Provides regular supervision for staff to includes individual, on-sight and on-call supervision.
• Participates in individual and peer supervision and serves as a member of the Corporate Management Team (CMT). Attends scheduled CMT meetings; contributes appropriately during CMT meetings and supports CMT members.
• Ensures client supervision and related health and safety issues are a priority while maintaining the overall quality of service and efficiency of operation.
• Prepares annual budget for all services.
• Facilitates Management Staff with problem solving and crisis management.
• Recommends, develops and implements new avenues for state growth and innovation in service delivery.
• Ensures that Regional Directors respond quickly to new business opportunities and individual referrals.
• Assists Regional Directors in developing and maintaining positive communication with local agencies, other customers and consumer groups.
• Maintains effective communications and a positive employee relations climate among state personnel.
• Ensures adherence to all Company philosophies, policies, procedures, and values
• Performs company-wide assignments as directed.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or related field. Master's degree preferred
• Prefer licensure in clinical services (LPC, LCSWC, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, etc).
• Five to seven years of administrative human service industry experience, state contract or program management experience preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
