Description Pennsylvania MENTOR is seeking Therapeutic Support Staff for the Franklin and Fulton counties including areas surrounding Chambersburg and McConnellsburg, PA. We currently have Full-Time opportunities available.
TSS employees provide one-to-one and/or group support and intervention to children with autism or serious emotional disturbances, utilizing behavior modification techniques and proactive strategies as required. Services are delivered in the child's school, home, or community.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist child in developing age-appropriate self-management skills
Work collaboratively with all team members to ensure service plan is meeting the child's needs
Support caregivers by providing therapeutic structure and limits for the child by modeling appropriate behavioral interventions
Assist in implementing a behavioral intervention plan
Maintain daily logs of behavioral progress and relay information to other staff as required
Ensure all required documentation is completed legibly and professionally and is submitted in a timely manner
Qualifications Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Teaching, or related Human Service field.
- Or Associates degree and 3 years paid experience working with children.
- Knowledge of autism and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is a plus
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule(minimum hours 15 a week), as non-traditional work hours are often required
- Availability on weekends is preferred
